Everyone reacts differently. This is not medical advice.

Why edibles feel different

Edibles work more slowly than smoking or vaping. That delay is why people take a second piece too early and end up with far more than they meant to.

How you react depends on your body, your tolerance and how much you take. Start low and go slow. If you have a health question, ask a doctor.

New York edible limits

Every adult-use edible sold in New York holds at most 10 mg of THC per serving and 100 mg per package. Tinctures can hold up to 1,000 mg per package, still at 10 mg per serving.

What to look for on the label

  • Total THC per package in milligrams.
  • THC per serving or piece. Divide total by pieces if it is not printed.
  • The QR code. Licensed products link to their lab results.
  • Ingredients and allergens, like any food.

Storage, kids and pets

Keep edibles in their child-resistant package and out of sight and reach of children and pets. Edibles can look like ordinary candy or snacks.
